This delicious dessert tastes like fudge and love. The oatmeal cookie crumbles paired with a rich chocolatey overload melts in your mouth-and they're easy to make!
Follow the recipe below and you'll have the most popular dessert at any Christmas party or potluck.
Combine the following in a saucepan and cook over low heat until smooth and creamy:
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup nuts (if desired)
2 Tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon salt.
Add 2 teaspoons vanilla after removing from stove.
In mixing bowl, cream the following:
1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
Stir together the following and add to butter/sugar mixture:
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups Quaker Oatmeal
Press
all but 1 cup of this into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Top with the
chocolate mixture and then drop remaining dough randomly over the
chocolate. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
