'It's a Christmas Miracle' Bars

This delicious dessert tastes like fudge and love. The oatmeal cookie crumbles paired with a rich chocolatey overload melts in your mouth-and they're easy to make!

Follow the recipe below and you'll have the most popular dessert at any Christmas party or potluck.

Combine the following in a saucepan and cook over low heat until smooth and creamy:

1 cup chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup nuts (if desired)
2 Tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon salt.
Add 2 teaspoons vanilla after removing from stove.

In mixing bowl, cream the following:
1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla

Stir together the following and add to butter/sugar mixture:
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups Quaker Oatmeal

Press all but 1 cup of this into a greased 9 x 13 pan.  Top with the chocolate mixture and then drop remaining dough randomly over the chocolate.  Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

For a holiday garnish, cover the plate in green and red M&Ms or even press some of these colorful candies into the tops of the bars when they're fresh out of the oven!

Christmas Candy Martinis

8 Step Christmas Candy Martini:

1. Buy cheap, clear, plastic martini glasses.

2. With Elmer's glue, write a holiday expression on the glass, one letter at a time. If you write the whole phrase, your glue will dry before you can apply the glitter.

3. Shake glitter onto the wet glue. Pour it over a bowl to catch the excess glitter!

4. Gently tap the glass against the rim of the bowl to knock off any glitter that isn't stuck to the glue.

5. Add designs like stars, Christmas trees, candy canes, etc.

6. Tie Christmas colored ribbon to the base of the glass and curl with a pair of scissors.

7. Fill the Bottom of the glass with tinsel or garland.

8. Place red and green holiday candy on top of the tinsel. We chose candy cane and mint truffel Hershey Kisses-yum!

Your Christmas Candy Cup makes a great center piece and a tasty treat or a simple gift for roommates, classmates and friends!
